Assistant Project Manager

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Project Manager at Liphart Steel Company, Inc. located in Richmond, VA. The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and coordinating all aspects of our project scope to serve the needs of the general contractor. This will include some onsite meetings as well as remote BIM coordination. Our project managers all have the ability to work remotely if necessary, but they are expected to work from the office as much as possible.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in construction project management, with a demonstrated track record of success in a variety of building and construction settings
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents
  • Experience in commercial, industrial, or institutional construction is preferred
  • Certification in project management is a plus, but not required
