Role Description
This is a full-time position for a Structural/Miscellaneous Steel Estimator. The Estimator will be responsible for providing accurate estimates based on blueprints, specifications, and other project documentation. The Estimator will work closely with the sales team, take part in project meetings, and review bids and pricing from subcontractors and vendors.
Qualifications
- Strong mathematical skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and other project documentation
- Familiarity with steel fabrication processes and equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field, or Associate’s degree and equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in estimating structural and miscellaneous metals
- Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations such as AISC, AWS, and OSHA
